We are celebrating 8 new adoptions in September, 15 dogs placed in foster and 12 dogs welcomed to the rescue.
Welcome Mama Sierra and the Bark Rangers
Sierra found herself in the South East Area Animal Control Authority (SEAACCA) shelter in Downey, just 1 day before she gave birth.
The most exciting part of September was hands down the rescue of Sierra and her litter of 5 puppies. She came to SEAACA shelter in Downey and literally gave birth the very next day. Shelters are a scary place to begin with and certainly not an ideal place for day old puppies. The risk of parvo is so high. One of our favorite shelter volunteers reached out to see if we could help and we made a plan and got this mama and her babies out of jail!
They are now relaxing in the care of their foster home. She is an incredible mom, despite everything she’s been through. And miraculously, all puppies are healthy and thriving! We can’t wait to get to know their personalities more. They will be available for adoption in November.
